After receiving an MBA and a Certification in Project Management, Laura turned her technical writing skills to a more creative endeavor. She and her husband collaborated on their first book, Esperance — a story that has its origins during the years of World War II. Later, Laura became inspired by that story and wrote her second book, Zurich. As her characters aged and the story’s fabric became rich with time, Zurich Legacy, continued the saga. The most recent book of the series, Shamar, is a story of protection — protection of weapons, secrets and missions. She lives with her husband in Scottsdale, Arizona. Soon after retirement in 2004, my wife and I thought that writing a book would be an interesting endeavor for our years of retirement. We began researching Esperance in 2005 and published it in 2011. Co-authoring was a long and winding learning-curve; however, between the two of us we slowly learned how to craft and hone our skills. After completing Esperance, I moved in a different direction from my wife while she continued on with the series and the characters contained in our original story. I chose to write about the current geopolitical world and the clandestine services that seem so prevalent today. Serenity: Full Circle was published in 2016.
I am currently working on The R.I.P. File which follows Rodger Iverson Patton III, A.K.A. Rip, a C.I.A. operative that has an enate dislike for the restrictive nature of the Company’s rules. His saving grace is simple — he gets the job done and has little time nor respect for the guise of political correctness. You can love him or hate him, he really doesn’t care. But it will make for a good read.
